The role in the organization   

The role as Commercial Director reports directly to the Managing Director for Mediq Denmark and is a part of the Danish Management Group. Together with the Management team you will set the strategic direction and identify new growth opportunities. The team consists of 5 skilled employees and 3 student assistants – and covers 3 functions: E-com & Digital, Business Development and Marketing.

The job and responsibilities

The Commercial Director is responsible for driving the annual strategy process and delivering a complete strategy with clear value propositions and delivery plans for each market segment and key support functions. Together with relevant stakeholders in the business you will develop new business development initiatives across the organization. Key priority is spear heading the change in the business model to a healthcare solution and service provider. That also includes the identification and establishment of partnerships and other non-organic growth opportunities.

The commercial Director is responsible for developing and executing marketing and e-commerce strategies and plans for the company in order to attract and convert potential customers and retain existing ones. In this way you will ensure that Mediq has a seamless customer journey and provides outstanding customer experience.

You will manage and lead the Marketing Team, Ecommerce/Digital and Business Development Teams, ensuring development of necessary skills, competencies, and motivation.


Professional Experience

  • An experienced leader and good people manager with minimum 5 years of management experience in Marketing/E-com and Business Development preferably in a matrix organization.
  • Strong business understanding and market drivers/health care sector.
  • Experience in both B2C and B2B sales organizations.
  • Understanding the public procurement process.
  • A suitable academic background preferable at Master level.
