Global Brand Lead FMCG to VELUX Group

A unique opportunity for a brand executive with distinct FMCG experience to spearhead the development of brand universes and take VELUX from primarily working with Pro Partners to also communicate directly with consumers. Together with agencies, media channels, and skilled colleagues across VELUX and the regions, you will play a key role in creating content that sets VELUX apart. Together with the Senior Director and the Brand Management team, you will play a key role in developing new universes to position VELUX in the Home-improvement category. Furthermore, you will innovate and work with various communication platforms, and with your FMCG outset, you will contribute with new ways of connecting brand, campaigns and target audiences.

You will work with 130 highly skilled colleagues across Global Brand Marketing including Global Brand Management and have several more colleagues in the regions. You will work with the best agencies, a media approach that allows out-of-the-box thinking, and a substantial marketing appetite and ambitions. To put it shortly, you will have a playfield that allows you to be truly innovative.

As Global Brand Lead, you will report to the Senior Director Global Brand Management, be part of a team with 12 colleagues that you can co-create and collaborate with, and where your FMCG insight is highly anticipated.

Work location is the Head Office in Hoersholm or you can work in a hybrid set-up.

Your responsibilities will include, together with various stakeholders across VELUX and the regions, to develop best-in-class briefs to agencies, and where you will provide a clear vision and be firm about realising VELUX’s strategies for growth. All eyes will be on you and your colleagues and your ability to conceptualise the business strategy into clear action points, and how you execute and see these through. Furthermore, some of your tasks will be to:

  • adapt FMCG ways of working with consumers into VELUX’s marketing operating model.
  • position the VELUX brand by developing global brand vision and strategies and execute these through external agencies and regions.
  • in your programs, lead brand management, guardianship and project management, including timelines, budget allocation and coordination.
  • oversee agencies’ concept proposals and design output and lead delivery of high-quality consumer campaigns for use across all branded touch points.
  • together with Brand Management colleagues ensure governance of VELUX’s brand architecture in new creative universes, including content, design, production, marketing etc.
  • collaborate with regions regularly to ensure the brand is strongly reflected in consumer campaigns, sales, audience perceptions, and internally with employees’ narrative about the brand.
  • ensure reporting of the brand is consistent and data-driven to help markets understand impact of their brand impact on consumers. Report back to steering boards, management in Global Brand Marketing, and executive management.
  • be an active contributor in the Global Brand Management team.

International brand lead, who can create and position brand universes in new funnels

Your mindset is characterised by a wonderful combination of business savvy, creativity and structure, and you know your why, what and how. To support your distinct people skills, you have experience in following:

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent.
  • In a FMCG environment, experience in managing external and internal creative teams and agencies, developing high quality briefs, and delivering output across channels including TV and Digital and to different target audiences. 
  • Experience in working with large, international brands and directing partners and stakeholders to craft strong creative and brand output.
  • Project lead experience in leading and delivering large international brand projects.
  • Experience in navigating in complex organisations, interacting with stakeholders at executive level, and maintaining brand position and processes with challenging stakeholders.
  • Strong international experience of managing brands across markets.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
