Group Financial Controller – Leo Pharma A/S
Leo Pharma’s Global Finance organization is in the midst of a change process, where they are implementing new processes, tools and ways of working. Every “brick” in Global Finance is being reviewed, analysed and put together in the puzzle. This means that for you as Group Financial Controller, you get an exciting opportunity to join a Global Finance organization, where it is expected that you make a difference and influence future structures and processes.
The environment is international, you operate at Group level and in close contact with the countries, and you are one of the important contributors to the annual report. You interact with various stakeholders across the HQ, in the countries and externally with Leo Pharma’s auditors.
You report to the Manager for Group Controlling, and become part of a dedicated team of 3 Controllers, delivering high-quality monthly, quarterly and annual reporting. Workplace is at Leo Pharma’s HQ close to Copenhagen.

As a Group Financial Controller, working alongside experienced colleagues, you will be “one point of contact” for selected entities in the LEO Pharma Group and deliver ongoing support to the subsidiaries as well as to other group functions and management.
You will join a team where the roadmap for the coming year entails interesting projects, and you will have the opportunity to influence the execution of these. Together with 2 colleagues, you will also strengthen quality and performance and always strive for “best practice”. Your responsibilities are:
- Participate in preparing consolidated accounts for the LEO Pharma Group.
- Financial controlling of subsidiaries across all regions.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS, Danish accounting requirements and other accounting matters.
- Participate in strategic – and development projects such as M&A projects to ensure compliance with IFRS.
- Develop and prepare the consolidated Annual Report in close collaboration with e.g. the External Auditor.
- Participate in developing and maintaining the Group’s Accounting Policies in e.g. the Finance Manual and by implementing new IFRS standards etc.
Next to your tasks, it is just as important that you contribute with a “go-do” and “let-us-optimize” personality; Leo Pharma values a performance environment with equal parts of humor and professionalism, and where everyone contribute and support each other in reaching the goals.
Experienced Group / Corporate Financial Controller with background as Auditor
We expect you to hold a finance degree as B.Sc. (HD) or M.Sc. in Auditing and have 2-3 years’ experience from a similar function in an international company. It is an advantage, if you have worked as an External Auditor in an international audit firm and have experience with IFRS. Furthermore, it is an advantage if you have experience with BPC Consolidation or another consolidation tool. You are of course fluent in English and with strong proficiency in Danish.
On a personal level, your positive, systematic and analytical way of working ensures that you strive to find the best solution to a process or problem, no matter the task. You see the big picture, and you are also able to zoom in on details and work with complex issues. You are meticulous, structured and focused on delivering with high quality.
It is important that you can work both independently and together with a team, and it is natural for you to seek out and establish relations to your stakeholders. Furthermore, you thrive in a changeable environment, where you will need to help establish and optimize new processes, while at the same time deliver on specific tasks – sometimes with short deadlines.
