Head of BSS & Front-end applications – Copenhagen or Aarhus
TDC NET is in embarking on a transformation journey, where they have recently become an independent infrastructure company and are engaging with customers in new ways. Do you want to impact this transformation? Head up three product teams, architects and a team of project managers?
In the role as Head of BSS & Front-end applications, you will play an integral part in this transformation, delivering new developments and updates across four product areas and around 85 applications: Online & BSS, Salesforce, and Billing & Rating. In other words, you, together with your team, will have an impact on the way TDC NET communicate and interact with their customers.
There will be direct report to the SVP, Application Development & Support, and you will be part of the management team. The SVP is newly hired with the purpose to drive change and development, and this offers you a unique opportunity to join, when there will be room to influence the future. Your team of approx. 25 people incl. a manager and consultants are located in Copenhagen and Aarhus.
Leadership and setting the strategy for application lifecycle management
As Head of BSS and Front-end, you will act as business partner towards Commercial, where you will oversee and hold end-to-end responsibility for design, development, testing and release, security and support of applications in the BSS and Front-end technology space. You will be budget responsible for the application lifecycle and support.
Your primary focus will be to set the direction for BSS and Front-end and to feature delivery according to product roadmaps. To secure execution, you will manage your stakeholders and overall lead implementation of large and complex initiatives across products within BSS and Front-End domain or across other domains. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a Delivery Center lead in a strategic business partner role providing sparring to product owners, initiative owners and orchestrating their key activities.
- Leading strategic programs spanning from target strategy implementation to removal of technical debt.
- Reducing lead time by providing an automation and self-service agenda.
- Leading, developing and recruiting talents and support their continued development through mentoring and coaching.
- Boosting capabilities and driving growth.
A skilled leader from Telco / Techco, with experience from BSS and Front-end applications
We expect you to be an experienced leader with documented experience from leading and developing others, and where you have a genuine sense of ownership – to people, applications, and the organisation. In your interaction with others, you present yourself as a strong communicator, influencer and with clear partnering skills – always aiming to find win-win solutions and solutions that are future-proof. It is natural for you to think in processes, frameworks, and structure, and where you have an understanding and patience for the fact that legacy in systems and mindsets take time to change.
Professionally, you have experience from Telco or a related industry with BSS and Front-end software and applications, and additionally, you can confirm experience and knowledge in following:
- Degree in relevant IT, engineering, program management or business field.
- Solid experience within software and front-end applications, preferable in an agile setup.
- People management experience, possibly having led mid managers.
- Application lifecycle management, software development methodology, technical architecture, and engineering practices.
- Used to work in an Enterprise application vendor setup.
- Fluent in English, and where Danish is not a requirement, but an advantage.
