In a newly created position based at Sika’s Danish headquarters in Farum, you will lead and set the direction for HR strategy in Sika Denmark and Sika Norway. As HR Manager, you will be responsible for strategic planning and hands-on implementation, ensuring the effective execution of all HR activities. This dual focus on strategy development and practical application will be integral to the role’s success. You will combine the global corporation’s innovative power with local expertise and knowledge, creating an HR strategy tailored to Sika’s unique needs in both countries.

You will report to the General Manager of Sika Denmark and work closely with leadership teams in the Danish and Norwegian organisations and with the area HR Manager of Europe North at Sika’s global headquarters in Switzerland. Your endeavours will help attract and develop the best talent for Sika, and your HR expertise will ensure that Sika remains an attractive workplace, focusing on talent development and well-being.

Your expertise – Our strength.

As HR Manager for Sika Denmark and Sika Norway, your role is pivotal in shaping the work culture and contributing to achieving our organisational goals. Your influence extends across both countries, playing a crucial role in both organisations. Leveraging tools like SAP SuccessFactors HCM, you ensure efficiency and alignment with Sikas’ strategic objectives. You will face diverse challenges, from talent attraction to organisational development, where your proactive approach and strategic mindset will be essential.

  • Ensure talent attraction and retention through effective recruitment and talent development initiatives.
  • Implement both local and global HR strategies and projects.
  • Lead annual HR processes, including talent reviews and assessments.
  • Develop local training strategies in close collaboration with management.
  • Actively participate in shaping organisational structures with an initiative-taking approach.
  • Serve as a contact person and sparring partner for management and employees.

Experience, qualifications, and personal qualities.

Sika is looking for an experienced HR leader with documented experience who can thrive in a challenging role. As a person, you are proactive, independent, and well-prioritised. You have excellent communication and negotiation skills. Your ability to listen and find solutions enables you to tackle challenges. Experience as an HR Manager in an international company will be an additional advantage. Commitment to ethical standards and a pragmatic approach will be highly valued in this role. Moreover, the ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to navigate strategic planning and hands-on operational tasks within the HR domain.

  • Minimum five years of experience as an HR Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certification in HR.
  • Experience with HR processes, including recruitment, talent development, and project management.
  • Extensive insight into Danish labour law and knowledge of Norwegian law is a bonus.
  • Experience with company acquisitions and integration projects is an advantage.
  • Experience with HR IT systems.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Fluent in Danish and English and speaks/understands Norwegian.
