About the role

As Trade Marketing Specialist, you will join the Group’s Marketing team permanently in either their Commercial hub in Copenhagen, Denmark, or at their HQ in Espoo, Finland. You will be responsible for all related brand strategies and category implementation of the Kitchen and Home & Yard categories. Which includes activities in all Orthex markets. Sweden and Finland are currently the most important markets, and the company aims to grow business in Central Europe. The role is, therefore, international. You must expect some travel activities, approximately 20-30 days yearly.

Key responsibilities as Trade Marketing Specialist

Your role consists of improving brand presence, analyzing existing sales data, and implementing the findings in the sales organization. You will create point-of-sales material such as planograms, displays, and ready-to-sell solutions.

It is crucial for success to build good relationships in all parts of the organization, especially in the commercial part. You will also be responsible for coaching and supporting both sales and marketing teams. You will be working tightly and reporting to the Category Manager for the categories Kitchen & Home & Yard.

Responsibilities in more detail

  • Drive the development of shop concepts and ensure their sell-in potential to customers.
  • Coach sales teams and develop best practices to share across the organization.           
  • Provide overall marketing support to marketing and sales teams.                             
  • Organize participation in trade fairs across Europe and partner with external agencies and internal stakeholders to lead the entire process from start to finish.                             
  • Partner with Nordic and Export sales teams to develop local and international point-of-sale activities and category implementation to drive growth.                                             
  • Create trade materials, planograms, displays, and POS materials.
  • Meeting agreed targets and KPI’s for the position.
  • Budget responsibility.

What characterizes the ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of trade marketing experience and a bachelor’s degree.

In connection with this, you would possess trade understanding and promotional know-how. You are business minded and would enjoy combining commercial and business common sense with a passion for driving and growing the business.

As the ideal candidate, your approach to work is driven, energetic, and proactive, and you are result oriented. Besides possessing analytic skills, you also can think creatively.

To succeed in the role, the candidate must build good relationships in the commercial Organization as in the rest of the Orthex Group. Finally, additional experience in e-commerce and using Adobe programs is considered a plus.

Your written and verbal skills in English are strong, and you have good presentation skills. Knowledge in either Swedish, Finnish, French, or German is a bonus.
