Your future team:


Together with a dedicated and experienced team of three Field Sales Managers in the Nordics, you and your team will be supported by a global organisation that contributes with close-to-the-customers manufacturing sites, supply chain, customer service, marketing, product innovation, and finance. You will report directly to the Business Unit Director Europe and will become part of the European management team as well as becoming part of ROCKWOOL Group that offers excellent development opportunities and career progress across their businesses globally.


What you will be doing:


As Sales Manager Nordics, you will be responsible for driving the market P&L and for leading an organisation of three employees in sales. Your role will entail strategic planning, overall sales excellence, local market activation and building a skilled and engaged workforce, where you together will secure country and Nordic P&Ls and enhance your customers capabilities in creating energy efficiencies, cost savings, and safety measures


ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation expects to grow the overall P&L in the region by having clear focus on driving volume growth of most profitable product lines through existing and new segments. To meet such ambitions, it is key to evaluate, on an ongoing basis, your strategic priorities, overall organisation skills, key processes and execution capacity.


You cannot do this alone, and you will be supported by an engaged organisation to ensure a solid global versus local alignment and secure your market needs and priorities are clearly understood by the global organisation. To succeed, your leadership skills include the ability to motivate, engage and develop your team, combined with being a playing coach, who can inspire to make project sales based on calculations including considerations about pricing, margins, and potential.


What you bring:


You are a leader that can inspire a team and influence via clear communication, interpersonal relationship and a facts-based approach. The number of stakeholders, internally and externally, will be wide and varied, and therefore you can naturally interact with engineers, business decision makers, procurement functions, and many more. You are of course an excellent communicator, communicating directly and respectfully, and with consideration for your team’s individual wellbeing, motivations and aspirations.


Professionally, we are looking for a unique combination of personal skills resembling the above-mentioned as well as documented results and experience in following:


  • Experience from strategy planning, market insights, customer requirements, and from delivering annual sales- and marketing plans.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience from B2B sales to the construction, marine or process industries.
  • A solid grip on specification processes, combined with installer and distribution management.
  • Well conversant with processes that touch upon project and distribution sales, order to cash, technical support, claims handling, and pricing excellence.
  • Specifically deep insight in pricing covering topics such as pricing strategies and tactics, portfolio management, pricing tools for different types of business models, procedures and overall governance to secure continuous margin improvement.
  • Deep understanding of sales forecasting, contract negotiations, key account management and sales capabilities development to deliver short-/mid-/long-term P&L goals.
  • Fluent in English and ability to communicate in one of and understanding of the Scandinavian languages.
